Our Fees
At De Marco Solicitors we like to be “up front” and transparent about our charges.
Free initial consultation - we are members of the Law Society's "Lawyers for Your Business" Scheme. This means we offer all business enquiries a free initial 30 minute consultation.
We offer the following funding options:

- Hourly Rates
All fees are subject to VAT at the prevailing rate.
Fixed Fees
For the majority of our clients we are able to offer Fixed Fees. For example:
- Debt Recovery letter before action from £15.00
- Advice on a Compromise Agreement from £350.00
- Employment Resource precedent employment documentation from £25.00
- Employment Response Helpline from £49.00 per month
- Employment Response from £395.00
Legal Expenses Insurance
You may be able to make a claim on your home contents or company insurance policy if you have the benefit of legal expenses insurance cover. We will discuss this option with you. Your insurers may agree to pay all your legal fees if you are making a claim to an Employment Tribunal. You have the absolute right to choose your solicitor and do not have to use your insurer’s panel solicitors.
Is your company a member of a Chamber of Commerce or similar trade organisation? If so, you may have the benefit of legal expenses cover through your membership. Contact us for further information as you have the freedom to choose us to act on your behalf.
No Win No Fee
- Employment claims to an Employment Tribunal
We will carry out a risk assessment of your claim and confirm at the outset whether we can take your case on a No Win No Fee basis.
Funded Grant
You may wish to consider alternative means of funding such as a Funded Grant. We are awaiting details of funded grants which may become available in the future.
Hourly Rates
In some cases we charge by the time we spend. This is broken down into six minute units, the same as all other solicitors. However, we charge considerably less per hour than our competitors.
In addition, we do not charge you for travel, photocopying, bank transfer charges, commission on payments by credit card or other administration charges!
Initial consultations and enquiries are always free and upon receipt of your instructions we will only charge you for work carried out which legitimately progresses your matter.
